Description |
One pound bank note of The Renfrewshire Banking Company, Greenock. The note appears undated but is signed by the officers of the Bank and the note was engraved by Perkins and Heath of London in 1830. The Renfrewshire Banking Co. was founded in Greenock in 1802. Greenock was the head office of the bank This was the main office of the Bank, initially housed in Hamilton Street opposite Tan Works Close. In 1811 the Head Office of the bank moved to a house in Shaw Place. |
