Monochrome print on paper showing a view of east side of Low Vennel opposite Hunter Place, Greenock showing street of dilapidated houses covered with advertising posters. Inscribed 'East side of Low Vennel opposite Hunter's Place' & signed 'W.O. Leitch'. This photograph was probably taken as part of a survey prior to the Greenock Improvement Scheme of 1877. Some, possibly all, the images were taken by Robert Urie (born c 1823). |
