Description |
Metal, probably aluminium, salver or plate created in memory of the Comet paddle steamer with and bearing a design of the Comet in a central cartouche with a two cartouches containing portraits of Henry Bell and John Wood above and two cartouches below containing portraits of John Robertson and David Napier. The scene is labelled at the top 'The Makers of the Comet'. The plate may have been produced for the centenary of the Comer in 1912 but was more likely produced from the 10th anniversary in 1962. |
