A string of Ancient Egyptian beads of various shapes, materials and sizes dating from the Macedonian - Ptolemaic Period 304 BC - 30 BC. They are inscribed in paint with old dig numbers: beads Y256: 401: 482: 352: 531: 449: 486: 238. Excavated at Diospolis Parva in 1898-1898 by Sir William Matthew Flinders Petrie (1853-1942) for the Egypt Exploration Fund, London. |
