Post First World War period British recruitment propaganda lithograph poster showing an image, full-length, of a British soldier wearing a Scottish uniform, including kilt, sporran and glengarry bonnet. He marches from right to left, playing the bagpipes. The poster is by Warwick Edwards (1880-1926). The text above the image is: 'RECRUITS WANTED FOR THE SCOTTISH REGIMENTS' and a signature (of the artist) is reproduced at the lower right: 'WARWICK REYNOLDS'. Poster designed by Warwick Reynolds (1880-1926), and issued by the British Army in July 1919. |
