Political cartoon drawing in pen and ink on paper by William Niven (1890 Greenock - 1947 Greenock). Undated and untitled by the artist. Signed at the lower right 'WN'. The subject is uncertain but the drawing shows lambs, figures in 'artistic dress', one of whom is writing a 'Poem on Spring'. Intended for publication as a cartoon for The Bulletin and Scots Pictorial newspaper which was published in Glasgow between 1913 and 1960. |
