Description |
Late nineteenth century builder's half ship model of sv Deveron built by Robert Steele & Co., Greenock as yard no. 93 in 1875 for J. Russell in 1875. The Deveron was an iron ship which was converted to a barque rigging in 1895. It was sold to various owners and was sunk by a submarine on the 9 June 1917 of the north of Scotland. This ship model was conserved with the generous assistance of the Scottish Museums Council. |
