Mid nineteenth century glazed ceramic dessert plate manufactured by the Clyde Pottery Company Limited, Greenock 1857-1862. Decorated with the 'Asiatic Pheasants' pattern. The copper plates of this very well known design were acquired by very many British potteries in the mid-1800s. The Clyde Pottery was no exception. Purchased with grant-aid from the National Fund for Acquisitions. |
