A small plaster cameo of James Watt (1736-1819) by William Wyon (1795-1851). The cameo is in white on a lilac background with a gold paper band around edge bound in cord. Watt is shown in profile facing left and on the right hand margin is an inscription in relief 'James Watt'. Beneath the image of Watt at the bottom is the artist's name, in relief, 'W. Wyon ARA'. |
