Silver ceremonial trowel used at the laying the foundation stone of the James Watt Dock. The trowel is inscribed 'This Trowel presented by the Trustees of the Port and Harbours of Greenock to Dugald Campbell Esquire Provost of Greenock and Chairman of the Trustees on the occasion of his laying the foundation stone of the James Watt Dock Greenock 6th August 1881'. Greenock Harbour Trust coat of arms on base with hallmarks. |
