First World War period British recruitment propaganda lithograph poster. The poster is text only: 'JOIN UNDER - THE GROUP SYSTEM - (1) IT IS SIMPLE AND FAIR. - Everybody is placed in his Group according to age, and whether single or unmarried. Single Men will be called first according to age; then Married Men - also according to age. For any special reason a man may be put back and called up in some Group later than his own. - (2) IT RELIEVES YOU OF RESPONSIBLITY. - You may think your present work is more useful to the Country. If it is, the Local tribunal, acting on behalf of the Government, will see that you remain at your work. YOUR DUTY TO TH COUNTRY IS TO ENROL AND LET THE LOCAL TRIBUNAL DECIDE YOUR CASE. BUT REMEMBER, LOCAL TRIBUNALS HAVE NO POWER TO ADVISE UNTIL YOU HAVE JOINED THE ARMY RESERVE SECTION B IN YOUR GROUP. TO COME UNDER LORD DERBY'S SCHEME ENLIST BEFORE 11TH DECEMBER.'
