Description |
An eighteenth century Japanese swordguard or tsuba. The tsuba has apertures for the kogai and the kozuka. Th tsuba is made of iron and has a design of a basket of peonies executed in chiselled and openwork which is gilded. An inscription on one face. Signed: Masachika. |
