Oil painting on canvas entitled The Seventh Day' by Thomas McEwan (1846 Glasgow - 1914 Gourock). Signed 'Tom McEwan' at the lower left by the artist. Undated but painted before 1911. The painting is undated but was created before 1913. It shows a half length portrait of an old woman in a domestic interior seated at a table reading the Bible. Vase of flowers on the table. |
