Watercolour painting on paper entitled 'Matthew Boulton's Residence, Soho Hill, Birmingham' by Paul Braddon (1864 Birmingham - 1937 Croydon). Signed 'Paul Braddon' by the artist at the lower right. The painting was probably painted in the early twentieth century. It is one a series of watercolour paintings showing scenes from the life of James Watt (1736-1819). The work shows a large mansion style building set in gardens with trees on the left and bushes in the foreground right. |
